Important reminder: All DP 2 students must return the teacher recommendation request form to Ms Ayana Fabris by 10th October 2022. Dear parents, we ask for your help in reminding your children to submit this form which is crucial for their university applications.

The Careers Guidance Department is pleased to feature the following events coming up in the coming weeks:

MYP 4 – DP 2: Falmouth University Presentation (Monday, 10th October 2022, 15:30 – 16:15, Music Room, MYP/DP Building)

Rated no.1 Arts University in the UK, Falmouth University offers undergraduate courses ranging from computing to creative advertising, architecture to fashion styling. A university representative will walk us through the offering, timeline & application process. Students and their families are strongly encouraged to participate.

DP 1 – DP 2: Joint Webinar by University of Surrey & University of Warwick (Friday, 14 October 2022, 18:00 – 19:00, online)

Join our Career Counsellor for a tailor made joint webinar with Ms Vera Kektsidou, representative of University of Surrey and Dr Stephen Soanes, representative of the University of Warwick. While University of Surrey is ranked 24 in the Guardian University Guide 2023, the University of Warwick is ranked 10 in the UK in the QS World University Rankings 2023. Students will be guided through the process of how to choose university/course and how to write your personal statement. Webinar link and details will be communicated at a later stage.

MYP 5 – DP 2: Bachelor Open Day by Erasmus University Rotterdam (Saturday, 15th October 2022, 09:00 – 17:00, online)

Learn everything about the Erasmus University Rotterdam during the Bachelor Open Day and find the study programme that suits you! Discover what Rotterdam has to offer students and ask all your questions about your future study, student finance or finding a room. Here you can find all sessions sorted into different time slots, you can only register for one session per time slot. Use the search option to find sessions related to the programme of your interest, or click on ‘Tracks’ to find the sessions divided into different themes such as ‘General’ or ‘In depth’. Once you have selected the sessions you wish to attend, click on ‘Register now’ to finish your registration.

MYP 5 – DP 2:  Virtually Orange Festival (Sunday, 30th October, 13:00 – 17:00, online)

Don’t miss the best and biggest virtual event of the season! During the Virtually Orange festival, you can explore the online booths and chat with 29 Dutch Higher Education institutions and their students about your academic dreams and goals. Attend the Studying in the Netherlands presentation by Nuffic, the higher education organisation in the Netherlands. Registration is free and open now!
