A few parents participated in a workshop about respectful behaviour in whatsapp chats with Ms Fiammetta Gioia this week (presentation slides here). This was an important and very helpful session that explained the dynamics of social media interactions and why many group chat “conversations” can quickly deteriorate and become destructive rather than productive. Because this session is so important for all adults and parents of children, we will hold it again in the coming weeks (date TBD). All PYP parents should attend this session so you can understand the adult dynamics of social media chats and so you can help your child understand and navigate these situations when they encounter them.
