🎗️ Our CAS initiative, the Digital literacy workshop for senior citizens of Roncade, in collaboration with Fondazione Città di Roncade is running smoothly. The initiative is meant to build intergenerational connections, bridge the digital divide, improve access to information and services, enhance socialization and mental well being of the seniors as they can stay connected online with families and friends and prepare the seniors for future jobs and economy. We are midway through the sessions with the 40 local seniors who visit us Wednesdays, 16:30 -18:00. We hereby thank our 15 boarding students volunteers for making this possible.
🙏 In an effort to build bridges with the local community, our school has established a partnership with the local public schools in Silea, Roncade and Biancade. The project, led by Professor Pitarresi, called “United through science” will allow groups of 20 external students to access our labs for hands-on biology and chemistry alternating classes. 10 DP 1 students volunteered to teach external students, allowing them to build on new sets of skills. This experience counts towards their CAS program.
🎗️ For their Service as Action project Sole and Stella Sofia, MYP 1, chose to organize mentor sessions for PYP 5 students working on their Personal Project, read more info in the poster here. Congratulations!
