We are most delighted to invite you to a webinar, courtesy of our H-College on 5 tips on how to choose the appropriate university. The webinar will answer questions such as: Is it better to choose a bachelor in Italy or abroad? What is the application and enrollment process? Are you looking for a bachelor in English?, The extra curricular opportunities and how to enrich your CV? Talent, passion, Skills? MYP 5 – DP 1: Presentation Swiss Business School – Tuesday, 16th May, 12:30-14:00, in person at the MYP building reception

SBS Swiss Business School is a management institution dedicated to preparing students for the careers of the global economy. Please attend the in person presentation next Tuesday to learn more about their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with 3 specializations to choose from: International Management, Entrepreneurship and Marketing. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSc) at SBS Swiss Business School is a full-time program with 180 ECTS credits divided into three years of two semesters each. Classes are taught by qualified lecturers and take place on the SBS Swiss Business School campus in Kloten-Zurich. 

Students and families are encouraged to attend.

MYP 5 – DP 1: University Admissions Tests: Which ones are you likely to face? How to prepare? – Monday, 22nd May, 17:30 – 18:30, online 

Webinar offered by Valdo Academics. 

In this fun, interactive session (be ready to be quizzed and to discover the tricks of logic questions!) we will analyze how, when and why to take some of the most well-known university entrance tests. We will cover the following tests:

  • SAT and ACT tests, used for a wide range of European, Italian and American universities
  • Tests for business universities (SAT, ACT Bocconi test, TOLC, Unicatt, IE test, etc.)
  • Tests for Italian universities (the various versions of the TOLC, such as TOLC-E, TOLC-I, TOLC-F, TOLC-B…)
  • Tests for medical universities in Italy (IMAT, HUMAT, TOLC MED, San Raffaele, etc.) and in Europe (HPAT, BMAT, UCAT)

The session will clarify what skills are being measured, what kind of questions are in the tests, and how and when to prepare.

Be strategic and start planning your summer: a summer course does weigh on both your CV for university applications and on your CAS portfolio!

Information on Standardized Testing 

Many US universities are remaining test optional for the Class of 2024, but not all. Review the list here. We recommend all students in DP 1to  sit an SAT test before the end of the year if they are considering a US application. Please go to this website to check international testing dates and find a free sample of SAT practice test

Valdo Academics offers SAT preparation courses: including a summer course starting on 1st  July 2023 (60h, starting July 1st, every weekday morning) and 1:1 tutoring.
