At H-FARM, we are committed to providing the best possible learning experience for our students. To further this goal, we will be conducting the Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) for DP1 students.
The CAT4 is designed to assess students’ reasoning abilities in key areas that support their educational development and academic attainment. These areas include:
- Verbal Reasoning (reasoning with words)
- Quantitative Reasoning (reasoning with numbers)
- Non-verbal Reasoning (reasoning with shapes and designs)
- Spatial Reasoning (thinking with and mentally manipulating precise shapes)
DP1 students will take the CAT4 test on Friday, September 29th.
No prior preparation or knowledge is required for the CAT4 test. Students should not feel anxious about it. The test is designed to assess their natural reasoning abilities.
The CAT4 test results will serve multiple purposes:
- The results will provide valuable information to support their subject choices for the DP.
- The CAT4 test will offer advice on learning and teaching methods, helping us tailor our approach to individual learning preferences.
- Students should consider their CAT4 results when contemplating their future career paths.
Please be assured that the CAT4 test is an invaluable tool for enhancing the learning experience at H-FARM. It will help us better understand individual learning preferences and contribute to improved teaching and learning strategies. Additionally, the results will be used to reflect on student development of key competencies.
Thank you for your cooperation in this important endeavor.
