We are excited to introduce our Mathematics Enrichment Classes, designed to provide targeted learning for all maths students.
As you know, your children receive 6 periods of maths.There will be no change to this or to your child’s maths teacher. However, for each maths unit for the rest of the year, students will either receive extension (for those students who would benefit from more challenge) or reinforcement (for those students who need time to master curricular concepts). The maths curriculum remains an MYP maths curriculum and all classes and all students will cover all the content typical of maths courses in MYP 1 – 3.
We know that this format, which allows students to work at their own level for up to 2 periods a week will be beneficial in further raising maths levels.
