Dear Parents,
Experiential learning is an important part of what we do at H-FARM International School. Trips and active learning of all kinds create deep emotional connections and encourage curiosity. Here are some of the experiences our students will engage in over the coming few weeks which promote our values of international-mindedness and creative collaboration.
As I write this PYP students are learning how the Sile supports human development (and possibly getting a little wet in the process) while other PYP students are getting ready for residential trips to Rimini and Modena or training to participate in the upcoming Robomed competition (Robotics) or the PYP Exhibition.
Secondary students are headed to Sicily, Montpellier, Berlin, Prato, Salamanca, Amsterdam, the Maldives, and our very own Biennale in Venice. We are also hosting a round of the World Robotics Olympiad and welcoming the American Musical and Dramatic Academy who will be running workshops for MYP students. We also need to celebrate the many victories (notably in basketball and volleyball) of the Beavers in this week’s H-CUP, even as we look forward to witnessing the sporting exploits of our older students next week.
Speaking of older students, we are 2 weeks away from the beginning of the IBDP exams. That is another kind of ‘experience’ and we all wish our students a fruitful revision period so they can sit their exams with serenity and confidence.
Whether it is through languages and the humanities, arts or coding, sports or travel, we are committed to supporting the many ways in which your children demonstrate their love of learning.
The whole school will be celebrating Earth Day together on April 22nd. Hopefully you can join us for the afternoon.
Warm regards,
Conan de Wilde
