In the heart of M4’s STEM+ class, seven students emerged as champions of innovation and sustainability. Giada, Marghertita, Nicole, Viktoriia, Giorgio, Elia, and Giulio pooled their talents to create a prototype of an autonomous vertical farm, aiming to tackle urban food scarcity.
To fund their project, they organized bake sales, selling delicious treats and raising more than enough money for the structure, the Arduino boards and the sensors. Their efforts didn’t stop there; they showcased their prototype at Earth Day and in the Eco-School Initiative.
Their dedication wasn’t just for their project. They also supported classmates in STEM+ endeavors, embodying collaboration and empowerment. Through their collective passion, they not only built a prototype but also inspired a community to embrace innovation and sustainability.
