In this week’s science classes, M1 students have been diving into the scientific method, laying the groundwork for future scientific investigations. This foundational knowledge helps students ask questions, form hypotheses, and design experiments, essential skills for budding scientists.
Our M2 students are building on what they learned last year, utilising their iPads and virtual lab experiences to sharpen their abilities in IB Science Criteria B and C. For parents unfamiliar with these criteria, Criterion B focuses on “Investigating”, encouraging students to plan and carry out scientific investigations. Criterion C, “Processing and Evaluating,” involves students analysing their data, identifying patterns, and drawing conclusions based on their results. These skills are critical in developing thoughtful, reflective, and precise scientific thinkers!
