Thank you and kind regards,
The Y5 Team

- What: Town Hall visit with mock elections and Mayor meeting
- Unit of Inquiry How we organise ourselves: as part of our unit of inquiry which focuses on systems of government, we have organised an educational visit for the Year 5 students to go to the Town Hall in Roncade. The students will be able to speak with the Mayor and ask suitable questions which they will prepare in advance. They will also have a tour around the building and learn about the structure of the local democracy. The students will then take part in a mock election and create their own government based on the Italian system.
Logistics:
- Program: We will leave school at 8.30 and return by lunchtime.
- What to wear: school uniform, a warm coat and comfortable walking shoes.
- What to bring: a small backpack (no trolley) and a full water bottle
- Snack & lunch: the school will provide the snack and we will be back at school for lunch (students should not bring any food with them)
What to do if:
- My child can’t participate: if it’s either a scheduled absence or your child is sick, please inform us as soon as possible. Please note: the educational visit is effectively part of the didactic programme of the school. For this reason, we expect all students to participate.
