Dear Parents,
As the year comes to a close, we pause to reflect on the remarkable journey our community has taken together over the past semester. At H-FARM International School, every day is a testament to the power of education to shape not only minds but also futures.
This year, our mission of empowering students to transform innovation into human progress for a better society has come alive in so many inspiring ways. Your children—our students—have embraced challenges, seized opportunities, and grown into compassionate leaders and innovative thinkers.
Our vibrant community continues to thrive, now counting 667 students from over 51 countries and 116 dedicated staff members from 28 nations. This incredible diversity enriches every classroom discussion, every project, and every connection, preparing students to succeed in an ever-evolving global landscape.
Here are some highlights from this semester:
- In December, 5 of our students took part in the Douglas-Young Tournament, the World’s First competition for IB and pre-IB students at Ikast-Brande Gymnasium in Ikast, Denmark. Representing H-FARM International School with exceptional dedication among 20 IB schools from around the world, they made us proud not only with their participation but with their remarkable victories: 3rd place in Humanities, 2nd place in Sciences and 1st place in Mathematics.
- In October, our MYP1-2-3 students had the chance to attend the Greenlight for Girls (GFG) Conference, an event designed to inspire girls to get involved in Science and STEM. It was a great experience where they got to take part in workshops, meet inspiring role models, and see just how exciting and impactful Science can be.
- In November, the collaboration between Gelateria la Romana and our PYP students enabled us to envision the Ice Cream Shop of the Future. Our Y4 students used creative thinking to design their shop and present their designs to La Romana management. Our EYU also got a chance to make their own ice cream!
- This year saw the introduction of the PYP Christmas Choir. Along with performing well-known Christmas songs at the PTA Winter Fair and PYP Community Gatherings, they also had an opportunity to share their Christmas Spirit with the elderly residents of Residenza Città di Roncade. Children from Y1 to Y5 shared poetry, stories and their Christmas songs, as well as answered questions from the residents. We hope to continue this tradition next year.
- Our DP students already attended 20 University webinars, 9 university visits and 3 bespoke sessions (H-College Career Day on Career Prospects for Business & Economics applicants, Lunch Connect for prominent seniors with NYUAD Vice Chancellor, UAL Portfolio Workshop for both junior and senior high school students). We are also delighted to share some early University Acceptances from the main geographies, such as Italy, Spain, UK, Netherlands. You can find more information here.
- 20 educational trips that brought learning to life in real-world settings, from the project of coral restoration in the Maldives to the technology conference for high school students in Prague, or also to the Garda like to engage in sailing activities, fostering the students’ appreciation for teamwork and outdoor exploration.
- 3 sports tournaments, where students built resilience, teamwork, and school spirit. We are very proud to celebrate the 1st place male finish of our Y5 students at the VISSTA Primary Football Tournament of Padua and equally happy with the 4th place female finish.
We are also proud to mention the Under 14 first prize won by the women’s Volleyball team and the first prize won by the men’s Basketball and Football team during the VISSTA tournament in Padua, as well as the third place the Medcup Under 18 football – men’s and women’s.
- Over 500 hours of extracurricular activities and lunch clubs, with our PYP and MYP students discovering and nurturing their passions across such as Software Development with AI, Chess, Mathematics, Badminton, Film lMaking, Musical, Robomed, Arabic, Gardening, and many more.
- Our students actively participated in a wide range of CAS and SA initiatives, making meaningful contributions to the community. Discover more about their incredible projects by reading this post in the SON.
Our approach to education is deeply rooted in the Six Dimensions of Student Success, which is an integral part of the H-FARM approach. These pillars—learning success, emotional well-being, social growth, community involvement, language proficiency, and future-readiness—shape every aspect of our students’ journeys. Through academic excellence, emotional resilience, meaningful relationships, cultural understanding, and an entrepreneurial mindset, we empower them to navigate and contribute to a rapidly changing world with confidence and purpose.
None of this would be possible without you. Your trust and engagement are the bedrock of our community, and we are deeply grateful for the role you play in your children’s success. Together, we are not just educating students; we are empowering future innovators, leaders, and change-makers.
As we enter the holiday season, we hope you find moments of joy, reflection, and connection with your loved ones. From all of us at H-FARM International School, we wish you a peaceful and festive holiday season and look forward to continuing this incredible journey together in the new year.
Warm regards
Emiliano Cori and Antonello Barbaro, with Anthony Hamblin, Paul Iacco, Giles Isbell, Sara Casagrande, Iliana Gutierrez and Alba Manso, on behalf of all our staff members who dedicate themselves to our community.
