This week we began a new research project in collaboration with Margherita Orzes, a student from the University of Padova. Under the supervision of Professor Maja Roch, a lecturer at the Department of Developmental Psychology and Socialisation (DPSS) Margherita will be conducting a study titled “Bilingualism and Creativity.” The aim of this research is to investigate characteristics such as creativity, self- perception, and vocabulary development in bilingual children aged 7 to 9 years old. Each of these abilities influence not only language learning but also all areas of education so this project will help to develop an understanding of how young children develop these characteristics in our school environment.
