Dear Busy Bees Parents
As part of our units “Who we are” and “How we express ourselves” and their transdisciplinary themes, the children are learning about senses and how colour and our senses affect their emotions.
Among various books about feelings, the children will be reading and focusing on the story Happy by Nicola Edwards which teaches us to be mindful encouraging to explore our emotions and the beautiful world around them. The children will be engaged in expressing themselves as they associate specific feelings with a sense and colour and consider why and how different feelings affect us.
To make it more fun and engaging for the Busy Bees, the children will be invited to bring an object or toy that they think represents our Feeling/Emotion of the week to share with the class.
Please note: the toy/object chosen by your child will remain in our class for two weeks.
The children will be deciding and choosing our next Feeling of the week during our Happy Wednesdays celebrations, we will be guided by our class information book A book of feelings by Amanda McCardie, so please check on Toddle in order to help your child choose how best he/she would like to express themselves on our Happy Wednesdays!
Our Colour Me Happy Wednesdays celebrations will take place every two weeks.
