We would like to bring to your attention a great opportunity for DP 2 students to reinforce their knowledge in Mathematics. Our partner Valdo Academics is offering an ad hoc Mathematics Revision Booster session.
Snapshot
In a small, interactive online class (between 3 and 5 students) you will be able to work with a specialist IB tutor who will cover the syllabus in a bespoke programme developed based on the needs of the students enrolled in the course. Each family will also have access to Valdo Academics educational consultants, who will support each student with study plans and advice on the IB Diploma, and will help families navigate the intricacies of the programme.
How many classes per week?
There will be two 1.5 hours tutorials every week.
When will the classes be?
The groups are so small that we will try to ensure that the classes happen when it works best for you. If you register your interest and provide your grade, availability, and description of your weaknesses, we will create a class that will both match your skill level, and your timetable. For instance, if you have weaknesses in logs and you are only free on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, we will try our best to create a class on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, pairing you with students who want to work on the same weaknesses. The important step is to commit your time for the duration of the whole course.
Who will teach the classes?
Your tutor will be confirmed according to your timetable, but you can find the bio of one of the tutors who teach Maths with Valdo Academics below. You can find more tutors at www.valdoacademics.com.
Myrto holds a PhD in mathematical modelling of infectious disease (mathematical biology) from Cambridge, a Joint Master’s in Econometric Modelling and Biostatistics, a First Class B.A. (Hons) in Pathology and a PgCert in Clinical Education, also from Cambridge University. She is currently finishing a second degree, this time in Medicine, again from Cambridge University, whilst working as a tutor with Valdo Academics. Before her university career, Myrto obtained her IB Diploma with an astonishing 45/45 (top 0.25% of IB students in the world), where she had Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as HL subjects. Outside of academics, Myrto loves reading philosophy, learning foreign languages and anything water-related! She has been an enthusiastic member of the rowing team at Cambridge, and enjoys the team spirit as well as the adrenaline with every race!
How can I enrol?
Valdo Academics will create the classes around your needs, so the journey begins with a free consultation. You will be able to ask all the questions you might have regarding the course, and then decide if you want to take it on. You can book the call in English here or in Italian here.
