Dear EYU Parents,
We’d like to ask for your help in providing a water bottle that your child can independently open and use. The children are proud of their independence and often would prefer not to ask for help from an adult to drink water. A water bottle that has a pop-up straw or pull up top is best. We encourage you to have your child open it independently in the store before you purchase it. Screw top water bottles are very difficult for your child.
We take this opportunity to remind you that your child’s water bottle should be filled with still water and not juice, sparkling water, or any other types of beverages.
HONEY BEES only: After the first weeks of the school year, we have noticed that some of our Honey Bees students would benefit from bringing a small backpack to and from school. This will help your child manage his/her belongings and will allow them to easily carry home any wet or soiled clothing. Please note that their backpacks should only contain their water bottle and clothing items they may need for colder weather (hat, etc.) and should not be used to bring toys, etc. to school. Thank you.
