This past term, our students have once again demonstrated an impressive commitment to Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS), embodying many of the IB Learner Profile attributes. From the compassionate and caring actions of the Breast Cancer Awareness Week and Operation Christmas Box initiatives to the risk-taking and innovative spirit showcased by our NASA Space Apps Challenge participants, our students have proven themselves to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, and balanced individuals. Their dedication to making a positive impact on the world is a testament to the values that underpin the IB learning experience. - Breast Cancer Awareness Week: Students organized a successful fundraising campaign, raising over €400 for LILT Treviso
- Halloween Fundraising Trail: The Primary Years Programme (PYP) enjoyed a spooktacular Halloween Fundraising Trail fun event, a joint effort of 30+ DP1 students, culminating with €400 for Giocare in Corsia
- Operation Christmas Boxes: Our students generously collected over 60 boxes of essential items for those in need, spreading holiday cheer throughout the community, towards the association UP Sogni fuori dal cassetto
- Christmas Market: The Christmas Market saw students create and sell unique tree ornaments, raising €350 for the Association Federico Ozanam in Columbia.
- NASA Space H-ackathon: A team of DP1 students achieved remarkable success in the semifinals of a 24-hour international hackathon! They trained a Deep-Learning algorithm to optimize data on Martian earthquakes, a crucial step in improving the deployment of Martian rovers. Their innovative solution achieved an impressive 86% optimization rate.
