Details:

  • When: Tuesday, March 18th
  • Where: in-school
  • What: clay workshop
  • Unit of Inquiry How we express ourselves: clay is one of the most effective art mediums for children to discover and develop their creative and learning skills. The process of working with this natural material supports sensory development, fine motor skills, self esteem, self expression, problem solving skills, discipline and pride in a child. In addition, clay has a well documented therapeutic quality that settles and calms children.

Logistics:

  • Program: the workshop will be in-school during school hours
  • What to wear: students should come dressed in old, dark clothing. While aprons will be provided, working with clay can be messy, and their clothes may get dirty

What to do if:

  • My child can’t participate: if it’s either a scheduled absence or your child is sick, please inform us as soon as possible. Please note: the educational visit is effectively part of the didactic programme of the school. For this reason, we expect all students to participate.

Payment and confirmation:

  • Daily trips are included in the “2024-25 daily trips” payment so no extra payment is needed for this trip.
