Dear Students & Parents,
it’s been a busy first week. Thanks to all of you for arriving at school with enthusiasm and, at the same time, patience, as the first days of school include scheduling issues and a lot of us getting to know which subject, elective, and class might be the best fit for each and every student this academic year.
We also really appreciate all the work the teachers and school staff have done to prepare the classrooms and first lessons so that the students feel both welcome and engaged. In many classes, such as maths, English, and Italian, students will have diagnostic tests these first days of school to verify their current level of skills and understanding: please remember, these diagnostic tools do not represent grades in the first week of class, just mechanisms to confirm students’ abilities.
Kind regards
Mr Richard Pelton, Head of Programme MYP 4-5
