Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for our students: a school trip to Kenya! This enriching experience, scheduled for May 5-12, 2025, will immerse our students in Kenyan culture, environmental conservation, and community development, all while exploring the stunning landscapes of this remarkable country.

Below is a detailed itinerary of the trip:


Itinerary

Day 1 (May 6): Arrival at Mombasa
Upon arrival at Mombasa airport, students will be greeted by a member of the Camps crew and travel to Camp Tsavo. They will receive a warm welcome, a safety briefing, and an introduction to the camp, ending the day around a campfire practicing Swahili phrases.

Day 2 (May 7): Project Orientation
Students will visit various project sites to understand the challenges they will address and set goals for their work.

Day 3 (May 8): School Project Work
The day will focus on community service at a local school, improving infrastructure, and engaging with students and teachers. Activities include construction work, erosion control, and English language support.

Day 4 (May 9): Marungu Hills Eco Trek
Students will trek through the stunning Marungu Hills, learn about indigenous forestry, and enjoy a picnic in historic caves. They will also practice bush survival skills under expert guidance.

Day 5 (May 10): Elephant Projects and Tumaini Women’s Group
Students will learn about human-wildlife conflict and assist in building elephant deterrent fences. They will also support the Tumaini Women’s Group by making bead crafts and participating in workshops to help generate income for the community.

Day 6 (May 11): Tsavo East Safari
A highlight of the trip will be a Big Game Safari in Tsavo East National Park, home to lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and more.

Day 7 (May 12): Departure
Students will bid farewell to the Camp Kenya team and transfer to the airport for their return flight home. The group will arrive in Italy on May 13.
