Thursday, March 20th will be the last day of the current Teacher Clubs for thesecond trimester (except for some clubs), please read all the details below.
What is changing?
The new Teacher Clubs will start on Monday, March 24th and will run until June 19th, according to the choices you made during the registration.
What is NOT changing?
Some clubs will continue throughout the year:
- EYU Clubs (are on a year basis)
- Film Making Y3-5 (is on a year basis)
- Robomed will continue until the competition (last session is March 26)
- Please note that ALL sports activities are on a year basis, so they are not changing
Can I enrol my child in a club for the third trimester?
Many Clubs are full according to the choices you made in the summer, but there are some spaces left in:
- Mondays: Study Hall Y4-5, Song Writing Y3-5, Film Club Y1-2, Futsal Y3-5
- Wednesdays: Lego Club Y1-2
- Thursdays: Neurographic drawing Y1-2
There are also some NEW CLUBS that teachers are happy to offer and that will start if we reach the minimum number:
- Wednesdays: RoboQuest Club Y4-5 With Mr Owen and Ms Flika (starting on April 2nd) – For a better understanding, a brief explanation about the difference between Coding&Robotics Club and RoboQuest Club is explained here.
| Description: RoboQuest is H-FARM’s first robotics competition. The after-school club is our training program to prepare students to compete in the competition on Saturday 31st May. RoboQuest is designed to help students become more future-ready through activities that require critical thinking, collaboration, design, coding, and sportsmanship. More details will follow. Roboquest is by invitation only. Parents of students who have applied, completed the rigorous qualifiers, and been selected to represent the school have already received their invitations. |
- Thursdays: Mindfulness Club Y1-2 with Ms Luna Dessi
| Description: students will learn calming techniques such as meditation, coloring, and expressing their feelings through show-and-tell. They will also practice mindfulness, guided breathing, and creative activities to support their emotional well-being. If you are interested, please write an email to afterschool@h-is.com |
- Thursdays: LAMDA Drama Club Y3-5 with Ms Maria Hamblin
| Description: We are delighted to announce that we will start a new drama after school activity for Y3-4-5. We are going to be preparing students for LAMDA exams. These exams encourage students to build confidence, develop their passion for performing and build their appreciation for literature and poetry. The students will need to learn individual pieces and perform them to an examiner. We will work on diction, confidence, understanding of the text and performance skills. The exams will cost around 60 EUR per exam. We expect each student to take an individual exam and depending on the amount of students, we may offer some group exams. If we have enough students, an examiner will fly in from the UK and if not, the exams will take place online. If you are interested, please fill this form. |
Can my child join a Sport at this point in time?
It is still possible to join a sport activity if there is space available: please contact the Sports Coordinator Raffaella Rostolis at afterschool@h-is.com
Can my child join Supervision at this point in time?
Yes, it is possible. Please contact afterschool@h-is.com to arrange the day/s of the week you require and the payment.
Note for Futsal participants: students can use their PE kit (shoes and clothes). Please remember to bring a new PE kit to school if you bring it home to be cleaned.
