Thank you and kind regards,
The Y2 Team

- Where: Signoressa di Trevignano (TV)
- What: recycling and composting facility of Contarina
- Unit of Inquiry Sharing the Planet: we will explore specific aspects of the Year 2 unit of inquiry on reducing, reusing and recycling waste. The students will learn about the concepts of decomposition and biodegradation and how organic waste becomes compost and the impact that this has on the environment.
Logistics:
- Program: We will leave school at 8.30 and return in time for lunch
- What to wear: school uniform, a warm coat. Students will wear their rainboots to the facility. IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the decomposition process, the facility has an unpleasant smell. For a more pleasant experience, we ask that all students bring a mask.
- What to bring: a small backpack (no trolley) and a full water bottle
- Snack: the school will provide it
- Lunch: we will be back at school for lunch (students should not bring any food with them)
What to do if:
- My child can’t participate: if it’s either a scheduled absence or your child is sick, please inform us as soon as possible. Please note: the educational visit is effectively part of the didactic programme of the school. For this reason, we expect all students to participate.
Payment and confirmation:
- Daily trips are included in the “2024-25 daily trips” payment so no extra payment is needed for this trip.
