We are pleased to announce the appointment of a replacement Special Education Needs Specialist, Sara Vacas, who will cover for Rita Bernardo during her maternity leave. Sara will join us toward the end of February and will reach out to families of students receiving SEN services immediately after she arrives to set up one to one meetings.
Sara is a dedicated Special Education Teacher skilled at addressing each student’s unique needs and building students’ strengths and confidence. She is committed to creating inclusive environments with a focus on Neurodiversity and Inclusion. As a strong believer in developing lifelong learners, Sara provides appropriate and individualized instruction to build the necessary foundations for school and life. She has a strong history of encouraging children to reach their full potential.
After being educated in Spain (Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Master’s Degree In Education Science from the University of The Basque Country, Spain), Sara moved abroad to work as a Special Educational Needs Specialist in several schools: the International School of Neustadt, Germany, Institut auf dem Rosenberg in Switzerland, South West London and St George’s Hospital and Bishop Thomas Grant School in London and most recently Copperfield International School in Switzerland. Sara is currently working on a Masters in Special Education degree at Middlesex University in London.
