In the last two months, students from MYP 4 and MYP 5 have been involved in the “Smoke Free Class Competition” held by Regione Veneto. With the collaboration of some teachers – Ms Ayana Fabris, Ms Sonya Vaccaro, Mr Giuseppe Pedron and Mr Albert Schram – and lead by our School Counselor Ms Fiammetta Gioia, the students have created projects (drawings, posters, videos, poems, slogans, etc.), as a result of reflections made at school on the benefits of remaining smoke free and on the importance of quitting smoking. One of the slogans could be selected to appear on the poster of the next edition of Smoke Free Class, and could be chosen as winner of the competition.
While we wait for the result of the official competition, we would like to emphasize the efforts and the great jobs that these students have achieved, by working creatively as class members and individuals. It has been a great opportunity for us to work with them on important topics such as the awareness of smoke and addiction in general.
