Our Year 4 students ask for your support! As part of our inquiry into migration and how beliefs and values can motivate us to take action, we are organizing a special event to collect hygiene products for communities in need on Friday, May 3rd.
WHAT WILL THE EVENT LOOK LIKE? Y4 students have been raising awareness in school about the impact migration has on vulnerable communities. They have invited all PYP students to walk with their class around the H-Farm track (inside the Campus). We ask that students bring a hygiene product that they can donate as they take part in the event.
WHAT SORT OF HYGIENE PRODUCT SHOULD I BRING? Examples of hygiene products could include toothpaste, deodorant, body wash, shampoo, soap, tampons, sanitary pads, and other similar items.
WHO CAN JOIN? All PYP students will participate with their homeroom class. Parents are invited to walk with their child’s class between 1:30-2:30.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR HELP? Your donations will be given directly to Mediterranea, an organization that supports people in need. You will also support Year 4 students in taking action and supporting their values.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? The event will take place anyway. Please give your children umbrellas (wellies are already at school). We will do it inside the PYP Building if it is raining too heavily.
