Guidance Bootcamp for DP2

On October 19-20, 2024, Jack Shull will lead the H-FARM International School ‘College Application Bootcamp’, designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to complete their college applications. Jack brings over 35 years of experience as a professional school and college counsellor. He has worked at seven international schools in seven countries, providing high school students with college and career development, social and emotional support, and academic course planning.

The bootcamp is designed to help each student create a compelling narrative for college application and main outcomes of the workshops are:

  • Revise their college list and maximise their chances of acceptance to a “good match” university.
  • Compare different institutions and clarify their selection of top choice universities, along with the reasons for their choice.
  • Practice writing about their interests, strengths, and achievements.
  • Practice completing application forms.
  • Learn how to adapt writing styles to different target universities.
