Workshop for MYP3-4-5 and DP1 Students: AMDA is back! 1196 567 School Office MYP & DP

We are excited to announce that on Friday, February 14th, AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) College of the Performing Arts will come back to our school to offer a workshop on acting, storytelling and performance to MYP 3-4-5 and DP1 students.

Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of acting, focusing on scene and monologue work, and learn tips on how to really tell a story, and “live truthfully under imaginary circumstances”. The workshop is designed to teach basic performance skills and how to apply them to the many fields of the performing arts in order to create a connected, genuine and truthful performance. During the workshop, students will explore how to fully embrace the rehearsal process and make moment-to-moment choices in order to honor the story, while bringing to it the unique qualities of the actors themselves.
